Overview
The NEIH acupuncture team is focused on providing personalized, holistic treatments to help each patient achieve their health goals. As one of the oldest continuously practiced medical modalities, acupuncture is an effective, and chemical-free way to promote the body's remarkable self-healing abilities. Whether you are managing a chronic condition, recovering from an injury, or dealing with the mental and physical stresses of daily life, we work alongside your broader MIT Health care team to restore your body's natural balance.
Services & Specialties
We treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Modern research shows acupuncture has a profound impact on how your body manages pain, maintains its systemic balance and homeostasis, and your overall feeling of wellness. Our specialties include:

Musculoskeletal and chronic pain (including low back, neck, and joint pain)
Tension and migraine-type headaches
Sports injuries and athletic performance enhancement
Mental and emotional management (including stress, anxiety, and depression)
Women's health (including menstrual conditions, cramps, and fertility support)

Depending on your customized care plan, your practitioner may also incorporate complementary therapies such as cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, or electroacupuncture to optimize your results.
Insurance and Billing
We are committed to making care accessible and accept all covered benefits for insurance coverage for any MIT community member. Copayments and the eligible number of visits per year will vary depending on your specific insurance policy. As a general guide, MIT PPO+ and High Deductible Health Plans typically cover 24 visits per coverage year, while MIT SHIP covers 20 visits per year. If you have questions about your coverage, our team is happy to help verify your specific benefits. You can reach us at 617-297-8549 and info@newenglandintegratedhealth.com.
Appointments & Scheduling
Initial appointments and follow-up visits can be conveniently scheduled online or by phone.
