Cambridge.
New England Integrated Health is in network with a wide range of insurance plans. We also accept personal injury insurance coverage through auto insurance policies. We are more than happy to verify benefits for any member. Please email us your member ID number and date of birth and we will have the information back to you as soon as possible. Please note that Medex or standard Medicare plans will not cover acupuncture.
MIT.
MIT Medical’s Acupuncture Service provides onsite acupuncture for individuals and their family members. All MIT community members can now access acupuncture care at MIT, regardless of their insurance.
Eligible students who have the SHIP plan are covered for 20 sessions per calendar year, each with a $10 copay.
MIT offers three health insurance options for employees, the MIT Traditional Health Plan, the MIT Choice Plan, and the MIT High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). All three plans have acupuncture benefits.
Eligible patients are covered for 24 sessions per calendar year, each with a $15 copay.
Please note that Medex or standard Medicare plans will not cover acupuncture.
Tufts.
Student Health insurance through United Health Care Student Resources insurance plans cover acupuncture! Starting September, 2022 there was no copay for student health plan members. For all other insurance plans please schedule online, upload your insurance as quickly as possible, and we will verify your insurance coverage. Since September 1st, 2023 all students have 24 visits covered per academic year.
Wayfair.
Wayfair insurance plans cover 12 acupuncture visits per calendar year.
Wayfair insurance plans vary which determines your acupuncture coverage and copay. For example, Wayfair HRA plans cover 12 acupuncture visits/year - but coverage is based on funds within the HRA. Wayfair HSA plans also cover 12 visits/year, but require deductible to be met prior to coverage of acupuncture services (HSA funds may be used for payment toward the deductible).
Biogen.
Biogen insurance plans cover acupuncture, with unlimited visits per year.
Biogen insurance plans can vary. Your individual policy will determine your copay or coinsurance, and whether you have a deductible to meet. HSA, HRA, or FSA funds can generally also be used to help cover acupuncture expenses.
